I wasn’t able to go but I have been looking at beautiful pictures and thoroughly enjoying seeing people I love having a really good time.
I welcomed the positive thoughts because my knee has been so sore lately that I am having trouble going upstairs. I have been whiny and very unlovable.
In the midst of grumpiness, my husband sat me down and palpated the knee.
“I know about knees from fútbol, Let me check.”
He pushed on a ligament. I screeched.
“You see? That’s all too tight. Let me. You breathe.”
“Is this some sort of revenge?” I accused.
“No. I want you better.”
My ligaments, and my temper, softened, because that’s what love and marriage are supposed to do, make you better in body and spirit.
