My sister is an artist. She paints, draws, does ceramics, graphic design, illustrations, but the work that fascinates me most is in her linoleum block prints. She creates images by leaving things out.
I get the concept of it, but marvel at its execution. She clearly makes magic out of the in-between.
The space between us can be palpable, full of love, or hate, envy or admiration, fear and caring.
I read and listen to figure things out, but this Lent, I think I will take time to be more like my sister and check out the spaces between us all. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll make some magic.
